Suluada Island
Suluada, which has rightly earned the nickname "Maldives of the Mediterranean", is located 7 km west of Gelibolu Cape. In its crystal-clear waters reaching 25 metres depth, caves, blue grottos and a world full of grouper fish await snorkel enthusiasts. The "Lovers' Cave" at the southwestern tip of the island offers a unique experience that can be explored by swimming. Due to its freshwater springs, sailors throughout history used it for water supply; today it is protected as a Mediterranean monk seal conservation area. Overnight stays are prohibited; visits are possible only by day-trip boat tours.
